Travel introduces us to new experiences, cultures, and opportunities (and is a ton of fun!). No matter the distance, traveling to a new place can open your eyes to a world bigger than ever imaginable.
Traveling allows us to see and experience a lot of new and exciting opportunities in a short period of time. Therefore, I have found creating a memory video is a great way to collect all your exciting experiences in one place. This can be done by taking quick clips of video (even as short as 5 seconds) throughout your trip, and then editing them together to create a mini memory movie that you can look back on (and share!).
Making these videos might seem daunting at first (especially if you’ve never made one before), however, the app iMovie is a great way to easily edit together your quick clips. Also for those interested, this app can be a helpful way to self-teach yourself the skills needed to create videos for any project.
In the end, your travel video becomes a collection of clips from your unforgettable experience. So next time you are on vacation and go to take a picture of your travel destination’s beautiful scenery, or take a photo of your friend and you exploring, remember to take a quick video as well. With enough quick clips, (and some editing on the car or plane trip back) you can create your own video full of exciting experiences!
Below are two examples of when I made memory videos while on vacation. The first is when traveling to New York, U.S.A and the second is when traveling to Halifax, Canada.
